Aladin Abbas is a singer, oud and tabla player who was born in Egypt. He started his musical career at the age of four by singing Arabic and Egyptian songs for different singers such as Om Kalthom and Abd El Halim Hafiz.

Aladin studied classical guitar, oud and singing at Arabic music institute and graduated in 1994. His interest towards jazz and pop music has been encouraging him to study with great musicians such as Malik Osman and Fathy Salama. He started studying musicology in 2005 at Jyväskylä University in Finland, and finished his master's degree in 2008.
